Hello,

there is a bug in 2.0.33 with the gdth driver (drivers/scsi/gdth) with and without patch
from the driver Manufacturer (The patch applies to 2.0.31 but works for 2.0.33 too)
(Patch: GDTP2029.GZ or GDTP2031.GZ)

When you try to format or fsck a ext2 partition > 1 Gigabyte then you get a kernel panic
"free list corrupted"

This seems to be a race condition because I tried this several times and the panic
appeared at different times (but always within fsck.ext2 or format).

Back to 2.0.29 (same driver, copied from 2.0.33 ) everything is fine!

A Happy New Year

Dietmar
