Hello, I am having a problem with a system that I am trying to bring
on-line the initial distro install went as expected and the system
appeared to be working fine until I started to get the following
errors.

unknown interrupt
hda: irq timeout: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest}
ide0: Reset: success
hda: irq timeout: status=0x50 { DriveReady SeekComplete }
hda: irq timeout: status=0x50 { DriveReady SeekComplete }
hda: irq timeout: status=0x58 { DriveReady SeekComplete DataRequest}
ide0: reset: success
hda: irq timeout: status=0x50 { DriveReady SeekComplete }
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:01, sector 213010
Kernel panic: EXT2-fs panic (panic 03:01): ext2_write_inode: unable
to read i-node block - inode=26239, block=106505

everything between the unknown interrupt and the kernel panic gets
repeated several times for a few minutes then the kernel panic hits
stopping the os.

I am running a custom kernel 2.0.30 on a 486. A cat of /proc/ioports
& /proc/interrupts doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. What
should I try next.
