Large minors

Hi!

Are there any recent patches (2.1.[56]x) which support large minors?
I'd like to save some time if it is already written.
As the first step, only internal handling of large minors might be enough
before everyone agrees on the syscall interface for files > 4G and stuff
like that.
The thing I'd like to apply it first for are the SCSI block devices, as it
is horrible limit 16 SCSI disks and nothing more, no large server can be
happy with such a limitation. Also, with large minors it would be much
easier to dynamically grow the number of SCSI disks/etc., right now by
default you can insmod only two more SCSI disks :((.

Cheers,
Jakub
