Noticed a discussion of Borging the penguin and thought vous might find this
interesting. And dammit, I thought it was funny when I wrote it and not enough
people have seen it. So I want to stroke my ego a bit by sending it to a
widely read mailing list. :)

The Dominating Software Foundation is pleased to announce the 1.0 release of
Linux/Borg. Linux, which is a free clone of the wildly popular Unix
operating system, was developed originally by Linus Torvalds and a loosly
knit group of hackers and programmers around the world. The new port to
the Borg opens up a whole new world--several, in fact--for Linux to spread
to.

Asked for comment on the project, Torvalds responded, "Well, we've always
believed that the goal of Linux was world domination, fast. But we realize
now that we were being too confining keeping with just this world. The
Borg can help us spread Linux to many more quadrants of the galaxy."

Said Torvalds, "Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated."

The Borg, as well, is excited about the new software. "Windows is an
imperfect operating system created by an imperfect being. Linus, however,
is perfect. At least according to the millions of people who use his
operating system on a daily basis."

"Linux's cultural diversity will be added to the collective and
its networking, multitasking, multiprocessing, and multiuser features will
adapt to service us," added the Borg.

The new port of Linux will open up the Linux market to a whole new range
of systems. Currently, Linux is predominantly run on 386, 486, and Pentium
based PCs. But the new code will allow Linux to be run on Asians, Ferengi,
Klingons, the French, and many others.

Those interested in using the software are directed to visit
