2.1.xx hasn't had buffer-related oopses for a long time, and just
recently I've seen three or four reports go by. It looks like some
recent change is causing some problems.
I'd be interested to know if you were using any unusual devices (cdrom,
sound card, printer, etc.) at the time or just prior to the oops. Some
changes to the vfs layer left some of the devices with broken interfaces
that conceivably could cause something to be trashed.
