In a message dated 97-11-08 07:36:07 EST, you write:

<< linux-kernel@vger.rutgers.edu (Linux kernel) >>

okay so what happens if you run this on a SMP box, will only one CPU die? how
does the kernel handle this?

what about watch dog hardware? what does it do? Does it reboot the system.

Don't think about it as a problem think of it as a test to improve our
software.

if we set a hardware timer, can we wake up the cpu?

has anyone translated the byte code to assembler?

well I am not affected by any of this, as I have AMD 486/DX4-133, so most
likely immune. So these are some questions to explore and experiment with....

P.S. and yes my CPU can compile a kernel faster than a Pentium 200, if you
run that program first..... hehehe :)
