SMP-Kernel 2.1.59 (2.0.31-pre10 too) fails when
using sound (at least with AWE64 gold).
More detailed:
Configuration:
2.1.59 on a Dual-PPro-Tyan Titan board
64 MB RAM
AWE 64 GOLD
1 scsi 4g, 2 wide scsi 4g
ne2000/3c905
(1) it dies, when using sound e.g. playing mp3-files and
doing other small tasks (finding/grepping/making etc.).
Dying means: no SYSRQ-Magic keys, no logs, no nothing.
Load was not high.
(2) it is completely stable (for a week) used by some 4 users
with loads to 15 and more. when i dont use the sound-module.
is there anything known with sound-smp problems?
