Hi!

I'd like to announce network block device for linux (over TCP). It
currently allows you to mount devices physically located at other
computer, it allows you to put block device into userland.

It should also be possible to swap over network block device (in case
network layer is something reasonable - i.e. ethernet, not ppp). I
tried it, it should be deadlock - free, but it really is
experimental.

Please take a look at
http://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~pavel/nbd/nbd.html

When developing network block device, I had to face _huge_ diffs, and
I had to view/edit them somehow. Well, I created patch mode for emacs,
which does just that. It allows you to edit unified diffs, browse
them, hide blocks which are not important for you, etc. Feel free to
use it and report me any problems.

Patch mode is at:

[Sorry for being offtopic, but I think many kernel hackers willl like
this thing...]
