I had the exact same behaviour as Juhani with by K6-200 running 2.1.56
and the stock ppa/parport/lp combo.
I followed the advice on the list and downloaded the latest 1.36s Curtin ppa
driver and it works flawlessly (lp and zip drive both happy).

Is this going to be put into the 2.1 series ?
Should I prepare a diff against 2.1.57 and send it in to Linus ?

Certainly, the 2.1.56 driver does not behave with parport.
