Problem with make modules-install 2.1.57

I have encountered a problem with make modules_install in kernel 2.1.57.

I have CONFIG_UMSDOS_FS=m set. The make of umsdos fails of course, BUT
it means that no binfmt_* modules are installed and the minix.o etc
filesystem modules are installed under 2.1.57/misc.

Surely the make should install all the modules it can make in the
corrrect places.
