aic7xxx & pre10-2

I was reading through the pre10-2 patch, and noticed some aic7xxx stuff in
there, I have the aic7xxx-Sep05 patch, will these two patches clash, does
pre10 include the sep05 aic7xxx patch?

On another note, I'am having problems with svgalib stuff ( go figure :), a
friend told me this was fixed in the 2.0.31-pre kernels, but here's whats
happening, I can run Quake perfectly with the stock Debian 2.0.29 kernel,
if i recompile a 2.0.29 kernel it svgalib segfaults, if i compile a
2.0.31-pre kernel Quake segfaults on me. I think this would be odd, and
probably something I'm configuring in, because no matter what I do, only
the stock debian kernel works, I also have not tried the stock debian
2.0.30 kernel, but I was told svgalib was broken under that one. I know
this isn't the biggest problem, but hey, there's nothing like coming home
from work and showing a bunch of people how to die gracefully :)

Thankyou,
Steve Przepiora

PS. Doug sorry I havn't gotten back to you about your aic7xxx driver
stuff, but through a fault of my own, I ended up trashing my system ( lack
of sleep and hdd cleaning dont go together ;) but hopefully, if you still
need input, I will have this all back up Wed Sep. 24.
