I can reproducibly get cp to cause a similar exception, first address is
getname, second address is sprintf.

cp works ok for most stuff, but when I do

cp -dpruf /home/benc /mnt/death/home.benc.backup/

it starts spewing them up - cp continues to run and continues to generate
them.

This has just started with 2.1.48-pre3. I didn't see it in 2.1.48-pre2.
