During this the machine is unusable. In this last instance, it went
on for 40 minutes until msqld died leaving no messages; upon
restarting msqld (automatically) the messages stopped and the machine
runs fine.
msqld, running as an unprivileged user, eats up all the ram (64mb)
when it freaks out; would that cause this error? Should it?
