So this is supposed to be a stable kernel?
I get one oops running any of these... next time they're run they
completely lockup - no way to kill.
[is there any way to kill locked tasks?]

Anyone know how to fix these? I never DID get a clear answer last time
[no, upgrading ppp to 2.3 didn't solve ppp crash]...
It seems I wasn't the only one having X problems, so how DO I fix it?
[I'm currently attempting to recompile XFree86-3.3]
[the word is attempt - it's been 24 hours now and I'm getting tired of
it...]

Incidentally, all works fine in 2.1.24 and 2.0.30 (AFAIK - I only ran .30
for 2 minutes then went back to .24 'cause 2.1 has a few features I use)

Also, I sent a report before but it didn't get through I guess....

Oh, here's one of the oops:

I can provide any number more...

G'day, eh?
