The system swaps to /dev/sdb2 (64 MB) and then to /dev/hda2 (34 MB).
Load is typically 0.5 - 1, but at expire time goes up to above 15
(just before it crashes). I will install a watcher script that does
ps, free etc. every 30 seconds and writes it to cyclic logfiles on disk
to see what exactly happens when the system crashes.
It's just a uniprocessor Pentium 133. Disk:

> Are there more patches included as the two listed above?
No, that's all.
> Does the appended patch against pre-patch-2.0.31-2 + my collected patch help?
I took 2.0.30, patched it with pre-2.0.31-2 and your latest collected patch,
from 15 Jul (Re: Problem with 3c509 and pre-2.0.31 kernel). However
when adding the patch you appended:
|--- linux/mm/vmscan.c~1 Wed Jul 16 13:35:59 1997
|+++ linux/mm/vmscan.c Tue Jul 15 19:38:09 1997
--------------------------
Patching file mm/vmscan.c using Plan A...
Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [y]
So I assume that this is already part of the 15 Jul patch? I'm compiling
a 2.0.30 + pre-2.0.31-2 + yesterdays patch now, and we'll see if the
box gets through the expire this night or not.
