I'm running a Dell P166 with the 3c509 card and Slackware 2.0 distribution
and I keep having an ethernet card problem that involves an error message:
Waiting for 3c509 to drop packet: Status: 2002
Also, my connection between this machine and my others on the local
network is horribly slow. I checked the card configuration, and it is
correct. Could this be a linux-specific problem related to the 2.1.41
kernel? I can't recall seeing this error before I installed the kernel,
but even if it had occured before, it was never in the frequency it is now
(about 10 warnings per minute). If anyone has any ideas, please tell!
