[pre-2.1.42-2] no SMP again lock with Netscape

[pre-2.1.42-2] locks again using Netscape.

I have noticed that Netscape (launched from an XTerm) after some time
gives me an error that I only can see using [2.1.37] because [2.1.38-41]
crash before:

Can be the reason of the lock?

Launching netscape with the option -install kernel [2.1.38-41] locks after
more time. I use X in 1600x1280x256.
