[2.1.40] no SMP kernel locks my box for two times in the last five hours
:)). I am very lucky!
I am using Netscape 3.01 when the kernel crashes. Why olny Netscape
crashes the kernel? No problems with all others application!!
Netscape in Debian is launched with a script that allow to use java with
newer libc5:
============ /usr/bin/X11/netscape =================
#! /bin/sh
export MALLOC_CHECK_=0
export NPX_PLUGIN_PATH=$HOME/.netscape/plugins:/usr/local/lib/netscape/plugins:/usr/lib/netscape/plugins
export display=$DISPLAY
exec /usr/lib/netscape/netscape "$@"
============ /usr/bin/X11/netscape =================
I set also the envinronemnt variable:
setenv XNLSPATH /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/nls
under advice of motifnls debian package.
Bye!
