Just got this repeatedly on the console of our server:

eth0: transmit timed out, tx_status 00 status e000.
Flags; bus-master 0, full 0; dirty 0 current 0.
Down list ffffffff vs. 00007d1c.
0: 00007d1c length 00000000 status 00000000
1: 00007d2c length 00000000 status 00000000
2: 00007d3c length 00000000 status 00000000
3: 00007d4c length 00000000 status 00000000
4: 00007d5c length 00000000 status 00000000
5: 00007d6c length 00000000 status 00000000
6: 00007d7c length 00000000 status 00000000
7: 00007d8c length 00000000 status 00000000
8: 00007d9c length 00000000 status 00000000
9: 00007dac length 00000000 status 00000000
10: 00007dbc length 00000000 status 00000000
11: 00007dcc length 00000000 status 00000000

15: 00007e0c length 00000000 status 00000000

ifconfig down and up didn't bring the network back to life. I powered
down and up, and all is well for the moment.

The card is:

eth0: 3Com 3c590 Vortex 10Mbps at 0xfce0, 00:a0:24:54:2d:7a, IRQ 11
32K byte-wide RAM 1:1 Rx:Tx split, autoselect/10baseT interface.
eth0: Overriding PCI latency timer (CFLT) setting of 64, new value is 248.
3c900.c:v0.40 4/16/97 becker@cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov

We don't normally have any trouble with it. I upgraded to pre-2.0.31
(from testing/ on vger) a day or so ago. I've seen a few "transmit
timed out" messages in the past, but never in a way that interfered
noticeably with use.

Thanks,
