( using kernel 2.0.30 )
Recently I get unresolved symbols with modules, unless I use
modules and kernel from the same compile.
Earlier I used kernel and modules from different compiles
without any problems.
Like I compiled a kernel and modules for one machine and
then compiled a kernel for another machine ( with different
CPU 486 <-> pentium and different ethernet card )
and used the modules ( over NFS ) from the first machine.
Now it doesn't work even if the modules and kernel are compiled
with the same options , but not in one go !!!
I set symbol versions on modules to on.
I use modutils 2.1.34
And I didn't change anything ( yeah :) to make this strange
behaviour !
I only moved the System.map file around a bit , is this important ?
