Re: the ftp uploading/downloading problems

Was there ever a fix for this? I've been watching for awhile now, but
don't recall seeing one as of yet. I didn't have problems with it before,
but since going to 2.0.31pre (both before and after David's memory patch
and Erik's three recent patches) from 2.0.29 I've frequently had totally
dead transfers, both uploading AND downloading from my machine (10Mbps
ethernet connection) that gave a connection timeout ONLY after I aborted
it from the ftp session. Once I was unable to even get a response for the
abort and had to kill the ftp session totally from elsewhere. Sometimes
netstat will show a data connection still established while it is dead;
other times it will not show any connection at all. Either way, tcpdump
shows a black hole and nothing goes through.

If there isn't a fix, can someone point me in the appropriate direction to
try and track this problem down?

Thanks,
Melissa
