Greetings all
I'm not sure I'm in the right place. If not please point me to the
right group.
I have installed Open-Edition and MVSNFS on our
IBM OS/390 system. I am able to mount the exported directories on both
Linux and Suns. Here is the problem When creating a file or directory
on the Open-Edition exported directory from Linux, It does NOT set the
uid to that of the linux user, but rather it sets it to the uid of the
Open-Edition server (0). When Creating a file or directoy from the SUN,
all works as it should. The UID is set to the SUN users UID. At IBM
supports request, I ran a debug from the Open-Edition server. They tell
me that the debug says that Linux is requesting a UID and GID of -1,
which they say means dont set the UID and GID. All works well however,
between SUN and Linux nfs mounted file systems.

Any help in resolving this would be most appreciated

TIA
Gary Ernst
