I think I remember others posting about this problem, and now
I seem to have it also.

Situation: Every 5 minutes, my systems checks to see if there
is new mail for me and if there is, it downloads for me.

Since last night, these connections have been sticking.. and I'm
sure if I leave it run longer, they will continue to grow. Something
is throttling the timer values, since they never 'die'.

'netstat -ao' output:

Active Internet connections (including servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State

They always stay in the CLOSE state and never leave..
Any insight would be helpful. :)
