I'm mostly curious if anyone knows: are these apples and apples? Is the
Solaris source announcement supposed to get you the source to the Solaris
kernel, or to the entire shebang (i.e. all of the utilities, WABI, and
so on)?

If it's just the kernel, I would think that it's not much competition for
Linux, since I can get any part of the entire operating system (not just
the kernel) in source form.
