2.1.32 problems (porting Microsecond resolution timers)

Hi ppl,
I am trying to port our microsecond resolution timer support to
2.1.32.
Here are a couple of problems that I am facing...
Sometimes when I try to use NFS, it gives me the message

"NFS: should not happen in nfs_xdr_readdirres"
and then the process hangs (cant kill it even)

Another problem is that when the kernel boots up, not all
the VTs show up.

I have enabled VT support and Console on VT options in the config.
Also I have disabled the Kernel automounter support.

So here is the question:
What would cause these problems?
I have no idea whether these problems are caused by my hacks. (Since these
events happen arbitrarily, I cannot reproduce them in non-hacked kernels)

Also if it is my code thats causing this problem, then any help as
to why these problems are caused would be helpful in debugging the
microsecond resolution timers code.

Thanx in advance
balaji
