Ok, you have a point there. I must admit, I only learned from the
linux-kernel FAQ that was just posted that klogd can automatically include
kernel symbols to the oops, if exists in / or /boot. I have
always kept a /boot/<kernel ver>.

Anyway, does the .config have anything to do with it?
