As far as Comtrade goes, my experience is with one P60 that someone at work
bought and I got the pleasure of repairing. For one thing it was an early
Pentium P60 and had the combo vlb/pci/isa bus setup. But the biggest
problem was lousy performance, that I had traced back to the internal and
external cache being disabled from the factory. I enabled it, and found
that the reason it was disabled was that the floppy disk wouldn't work with
either cache enabled. This didn't seem to be a fair deal for the customer
that was getting 486/66 performance for a then (high) pentium price. Any
way thats my 2 cents on Comtrade.
