Ever since about 2.1.24 or so, I've had a strangeness occur where
when I do a "make config", the question mark doesn't provide help; it is
ignored like any other character other than "y" or "n". I know that this
isn't a change in the source because my office workstation does not have
that problem. I believe that it is something I upgraded to (or didn't
upgrade to) in support for the kernel build process. I've spent at least
an hour trying to track it down through the configuration scripts, but I'm
at a loss. Has anyone else seen this or know what I can try changing?
