Now that just isn't true... I have two 2Gig drives originally formated (low
leveled) on an NCR 53c815 controller. That system now has an Adaptec 2940U
controller running those drives. No reformating has been done. No
repartitioning has been done. Linux will read the partition table and work
with that geometry spec ignoring the lies from the controller.
Just what does the 2940's return for a scsi getgeometry call?
FYI: fdisk does have a fit with the drives like this, so I don't run fdisk!
