This looks like a carbon copy of the fatal errors I get from the same
aic7xxx.c driver when I attempt to access a mounted MS-DOS file system.
I contacted the "Maintainer / writer" and was told that it had something
to do with changes in the kernel referencing physical v.s. virtual pages
and that there was nothing I could do about it. (Nice eh?). Basically,
I have been waiting for some fixes to appear in a new kernel sometime.
In the meantime, I just don't mount any MS-DOS file systems. You have
a much more immediate problem because you really need to be doing tape
backups. I suggest that you contact: Daniel Eischen,

He is probably very busy and doesn't understand that I am not the only one
who has problems with this driver.
