Compile Problems 2.1.[56] i586

Hi All,

I have tried to compile the 2.1.5 and 2.1.6 kernels on my i586 system
and each time have ended up with SMALL kernels (17-19KB) which will not
boot?? The piggy.o is much smaller than 2.0.24. I know this is probably
somthing that I'm overlooking, but I need a little push in the right
direction;)
