Hello.

I REALLY NEED HELP !

Scenario:

I installed Slackware 3.0 (ELF release) - kernel 1.2.13 on a PC DX2/66 with
Windows 95. I choosed to install Linux on UMSDOS mode. I configured INN,
sendmail, ftp access, DNS... (it's for an intranet). And all worked very
fine.

So, everything was all right until one user boot the PC on Windows 95, use
a standard software (like Word or something else), and quit Windows 95 on a
clean way.

When i restart the PC, i discovered that Linux don't boot (see the error
message below) AND Windows 95 don't boot also !!

So, it's really a BIG problem for me :(

My answer is : How to fix it ? And how to make Linux boot again (Windows 95
is not important) ?

Linux error message :

end_request : I/O Error, dev 0305, sector 0
...
Kernel panic : VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:05

Windows 95 error message :

(table which describe the PC)

Press any key when ready

Many, many thanks in advance to all Linux Gurus.

Stephane.
