Test: turn off VJ compression on PPP link.
Does it start to work?
If it does not, it would be the great puzzle.
If it works now, either Xylogics server or Linux PPP is broken,
and the only reasonable fix is to disable VJ compression.
I hope it is Xylogics 8)
