writing raw packets out

Can I write raw packets out the ethernet after I do:
f = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_PACKET, htons(ETH_P_ALL));

I can read all packets, but I want to write raw packets
(actually, it would be nice if the MAC from address was prepended,
but its not necessary).
