Conflict between AT1500 and floppy?

I've been using an Allied Telesis AT-1500 ethernet card for a couple of
weeks, and today used the floppy drive for the first time since installing
the network card. Whenever both the network and floppy are active at the
same time, I get errors like this:

007a, resetting.

This has never happened other than when the floppy is in use, but happens
consistently when the floppy is in use.

Here's the relevant info:
Pentium 100, 48M RAM.
Kernels 2.0.11 and 2.0.20

Any ideas?
