Freezing....

I have two machines here, one running 2.0.0(I) and other 1.2.13(II) full
patched. Sometimes, when I transfer from II to I and when I use telnet from
I to II at I console, it freezes the transfer or freezes my screen using
pine for example. The machines are connected through ethernet.
What should it be?
