Correct me if I'm wrong (and I prolly am.. ;) ), but I believe Linus
puts the kernels out at helsinki and funet himself.. if not, he puts it out at
helsinki and funet mirrors it. Then SunSITE mirrors funet, then the world
mirrors SunSITE. so whoever has a sunsite mirror, or uses that for it's main
source for kernels, is only going to get sunsite's slow mirror.. so it really
sux.. my advice, is always get it from the source! it may take a bit,
depending on the bandwidth, but it protects you against getting a kernel from
a bad mirror image.

I believe ftp.nether.net, and ftp.cs.unl.edu mirror helsinki. unl only
grabs the latest full source distribution, then all patches.. and nether.net
has both patches and full dists. I'd try there first, if your two sites aren't
updated yet.

This would be a good idea.. once again depending on the time and
transfer rates.. and if Linus takes a break from coding! <g> My drives are
taken up being NFS sites for inside my uni here.. so if anyone else has the
space to do it and would like to mirror helsinki, please do! :)
