can't reboot linux !

In latest kernels I can't reboot linux. Alt-Ctrl-Del, Unmounting
Filesystems, Done .... and HARD RESET. It's awful, because my CD-ROM
stops playing ! :-)
No changes apart kernel and modules-1.3.69 (no new init or something).
Motherboard: old OPTI-495XLC, cpu cyrix dlc.
PS. Old kernels still reboot fine.
