PPP slowdown "proof"

Well this proof of the problem since 1.3.85 is good enough for me:

Everything works perfect, as long as I don't rlogin to a solaris host.
At usc, they have sunos 4 and sunos 5 hosts. The sunos 4 hosts are VERY
responsive, but the sunos 5 hosts are slow, however, not as slow as they
were before 1.3.85, but too slow. These machines are an 'equal distance'
from me.
