xiafs
support for XT hard disk controllers
maybe some ancient SCSI controllers?

Should be doable, just like the current options for SMC, 3Com, EISA,
other ISA ethernet cards, or non-ATAPI/SCSI CD-ROM drives. They don't
change anything by themselves, just reduce the number of questions.

BTW, I think it might be better if Menuconfig always displayed all
"real" options (so that for example I can just select the SMC Ultra
driver without first having to select "SMC cards"). The problem with
large number of questions doesn't exist in Menuconfig, so it's OK
to assume "yes" and not display the above mentioned options which
don't really change anything.

(Probably same goes for xconfig but I haven't tried it yet.)
