ext2 attribute immutable

I've discovered yesterday taht setting an inode (you might call that
file) immutable prevents me from moving it. Usually UN*X attributes
affect the inode only. Is that intentional?

I haven't looked up the mechanism, but could I link to an immutable
file? Or is it just unlinking that's forbidden?
