IP_MASQ & PLIP: strange errors

Hello everyone,

I have been having some great success with 1.3.73, IP masquerading
and plip. My configuration was with a Linux server/router/firewall and a
DOS machine connected via plip. Everything worked great until I was
logged in from the DOS box to a remote site (masqueraded), at which point
all packet transmission ceased and I would have to reconnect. Talking
with David Bonn, he suggested that fragmentation could be my problem (I
use a low MTU on the PPP link from Linux server to ISP), and gave me some
IP-masquerading patches to try. I patched up to 1.3.75 (with David's
patches thrown in) and restarted. Things seemed to work _great_, but then
packet transfer out from the DOS box stopped altogether. And this time,
it was permanent (would need to reboot server). I get these messages:

Mar 19 18:24:18 eternity kernel: Socket destroy delayed

It's coming from net/ipv4/af_inet.c. Anyone have any ideas how I might
be able to fix this? I'll be looking into it, and if I find anything,
I'll be certain to followup.

Thanks,
