I think Linus' fixes to the IRQ code in 1.3.76 may well make the unexplained
timeouts go away. It definitely felt more responsive than it's predecessors to
me under intensive disk load.
Things are looking pretty good for my fixes to the abort/reset code. Simon's
system has now run backups on 1.3.75 with my changes. It's time to start
thinking about the best way about making them work for other drivers.
