No need to do that -- netstat -an|grep 6667 says
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:6667 0.0.0.0:0 LISTE=
N
(at least with my ircd).

Anyway, not binding to INADDR_ANY (or not binding to the loopback
interface) would result in a refused connection, _not_ in a hang.
