I think the new format uses a lot of space to provide not too much
information.
What about lines like "tag: used + free = total", with each number in bytes?
That would make something like
...
Tag: Used Free Total
MemTotal: 14448000 + 572000 = 15020000
...
It would be nice if the "old" lines could be converted to the new,
uniform format, too. Old programs could still use the old format
then, while new programs could ignore the old lines and use the new
lines only.

If there's a printf/scanf to handle thousands separator (3,217,088), I'd also
suggest to use it (like in DOS 6.2).
