Whilst recently browsing a kernel pre-patch, I notice that process
accounting has finally gone into 1.3.73. This is good. What is not so
good is that the functionality of logging i/o usage and memory usage,
present in the original accounting patches (see acct-5-13 in the debian
distribution), has been lost. It would also be simple and nice to store
the number of page swaps a process incurred. Any chance we can get this
functionality back..?
