Arrgh.

The linux-kernel list has one of the worst signal to noise ratios of
any list I'm on. Personally, I'd be much happier if the FSF/GNU,
Cygnus/GNU and Linux contingents would work positively with each other
-- rather than try and rip each other to shreds (not that I'm saying
everyone is doing this).

It would be even more wonderful if the BSD and X crews would chip in
-- though I understand that while they're willing to let us use their
stuff they're not going to plan on supporting us directly.

I hope that RMS's messages are an indication of a desire to join
efforts between FSF and the regular linux groups.

I know most people here are waiting for Linus to make a pronouncement
[which he may have already done by the time this letter gets out]. I
know that there's a ton of hecklers just waiting in the wings. I
dunno... Linux/GNU cooperation could be a good thing. I don't
understand why more hasn't happened.
