I think `Linux hosted GNU systems' reads slightly better but that
could easily be a personal thing. I'm sure that both alternatives are
much longer than `Linux' so I don't think either will supplant it.

I do sincerely thank all the people responsible for the profusion of
high-quality, free, software regardless of their allegiances.
