Module trouble with 1.3.71

Hi there,

after compiling the 1.3.71 kernel, "depmod -a" reports lots of
unresolved references in, as far as I can see, all modules (like ppp,
slip, sg,...)

Am I wrong somehow? Do I have to use a newer version of the
modutils (my 1.3.x version worked fine with 1.3.68)?
