Hello,
I am using an Adaptec 1522a scsi host adapter with a quantum 4gig hard
drive
hanging off of it. I am having difficulties getting Linux to recognize this
hard disk.
Linux 1.3.45 will work, however anyother version of Linux will not. I
can't get
rid of the thought that it's me thats messing something up here. Any
suggestions from anyone?
I can get a kernel compiled (using 1.3.45) and lilo'ed. The new kernel
will boot from the scsi drive, and the adaptec driver will load without a
hitch. Once the driver is loaded it starts searching for the hard disk, and
can't find it. It gets timeouts from the adaptec host adapter.
